Gender Idology

New Age Gender Confusion: A Christian Perspective

New Age philosophy has introduced radical concepts concerning gender, and language in relation to the two sexes as created by God. Biology and scientific integrity are being questioned as we are expected to honour and adopt false and baseless ideologies. Our world is in deep trouble as we have reached an age where its members debate over questions such as:

“What is a woman?” and “Can a man become pregnant?”.

We have everything that we need to live a life of purpose, meaning and even luxury, yet we feel more confused than ever in the history of humanity. Desperate for answers, many have turned to New Age practices in the hope of achieving personal empowerment and becoming free, enlightened beings.

This has led the New Age movement to evolve into an industry as businesses around the world promote products and services under the New Age banner citing “age old wisdom” and using the word “holistic” for added credibility. However, no amount of mindfulness, yoga pants, matcha and soybean lattes in the world can restore the damaging effects that worldly beliefs have had on our society.

The further away we move from God and science, the worse off we are as a human race. The New Age teachings that promote gender ideologies are simply evil.  As traditional gender roles are attacked, so is human dignity. One goes hand in hand with the other.

In the example of public spaces such as female bathrooms, people will argue that it is appropriate for say, a 12-year-old girl, or a female of any age really, to be sharing this private space with a biological male. Then we have the sporting arena. New Age philosophy claims it is acceptable and fair for men that think they are women to compete in female sports. However, biology does matter, as it was shown during the tennis match between the Williams sisters, Venus and Serena then ranked No’s 16 & 53 in the world respectively and their male opponent, World No 203 Karsten Braasch. The female champions were defeated by Braasch who later recounted to The Guardian, a major British newspaper, that he had played a round of golf, drank beer and smoked cigarettes prior to the match.

This is a far cry from what our earthly experience could have been. We have been blessed with the gift of life and a perfectly good and well-ordered environment to enjoy and thrive in. God in His infinite goodness and kindness also gave us the gift of Free will. Rather than choosing to work with the spiritual laws that protect us, we chose to subscribe to the principles of this world which has led us to experience an emptiness that nothing in this world can ever fill; not with success, wealth, food or fame. When God is absent from our lives, we can be assured that we will never find true fulfillment and peace.

Saint Augustine famously said, “You have made us for Yourself, and our heart is restless until it rests in You”. Like all other great Saints, he was known for his spiritual discipline, and his prayers were accompanied by fasting. This is something we too can learn to adopt as we navigate these uncertain times. The message to all humans especially today, is pray and fast for the world that we were given, for the gift of family which is under severe attack right now and pray and fast also for the people in your life.
